John Cameron Architects has been engaged by Hawkins Transport MiCat to design the redevelopment of existing facilities in the settlement of Bulwer on Moreton Island.
We are working towards eco-tourism outcomes using the guiding principles of the Green Globe 21 Precinct Planning and Design standard.
The project includes a community general store, a school camp lodge, bed and breakfast units, and beach house holiday accommodation. The development aims to be autonomous for energy, water and waste water treatment. The island itself is a natural attraction and is substantially protected as a National Park.
